Abstract:
The co-occurrence of gambling addiction and substance abuse is examined by Lynn Wallisch, Ph.D., of the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Using data from a phone survey with 3,079 Texan youth, Dr. Wallisch found a linear relationship between substance use and extent of gambling.
