Fernando J. Galan, Ph.D., Director of the Social Work Program at the University of Texas at El Paso, discusses the nature of the Hispanic youth population, the significance of a bicultural perspective in prevention and the conflicts faced by Hispanic youth. His article describes a primary prevention approach aimed at Hispanic youth alcohol use.
