Abstract:
Drs. Joseph L. Mahoney and Robert B. Cairns discuss the effects of extracurricular activities on school dropout. They annually interviewed 392 youth from 7th grade through 12th grade. Additionally they obtained information from the students? teachers, peers, and school yearbooks. Using this process they were able to track the amount of extracurricular involvement before the youth dropout of school.
