Abstract:

Post-traumatic growth is an emerging and rapidly growing field of interest. Dr. Mark Chesler and his colleagues have been examining the emergence of post-traumatic growth in long-term survivors of childhood cancer. In this interview, Dr. Chesler answers a number of questions about post-traumatic growth, including the difference between it and resilience, whether post-traumatic growth and post-traumatic stress can occur in the same person, and the capacities and experiences of youth who experience post-traumatic growth.
