Abstract:
Using a public health approach, this article examines the primary, secondary, and tertiary approaches to adolescent sexual offending. The authors highlight sex education, and a public education program as primary prevention methods; child sexual abuse prevention programs and sexual abuse victim treatment as secondary prevention methods; and treatment programs and alternative sentencing programs as tertiary prevention methods.
