Abstract:
This article examines the role of stressful life events in relation to adolescent suicide attempts. Stressful life events often occur before a person attempts or commits suicide. These events are often outside of the person's control and therefore cannot be dismissed as merely life difficulties that result from psychological problems such as depression.
