Abstract:
The recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have heightened our awareness of the stresses placed on military service members and their families. This article explores the ways that youth development professionals can support youth and their families through all phases of military deployment, from pre-deployment until after the service member returns home. Throughout the article, quotes from youth provide a personal perspective.
