Abstract:
“Coming out” is the process of disclosing ones’ lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender identity to others. As defined by the author, Linda Goldman, “coming in” is “a healthy process of reentry and reintegration into mainstream life” including a positive reconnection with family, friends, and community.

In her review, although Jacqueline Golding expressed many concerns about this book, she notes that “In spite of [its] limitations, Coming Out, Coming In, has a great deal to offer and will be a helpful resource to many adults working with LGBT youth.” She goes on to note that “few books address the concerns of adults who are at a loss as to how to supoprt LGBT young people.”
