Abstract:
Extending the Reach of Youth Development Through Civic Activism: Research Results from the Youth Leadership for Development Initiative is by Heather Lewis-Charp, Hanh Cao Yu, Sengsouvanh Soukamneuth, and Johanna Lacoe.

The reviewer, John de Miranda, felt that one of the shortcomings of this manual and study, was the failure to include youth with disabilities as a marginalized population. Despite this, he felt it sheds "important light on the topic of, and benefits from, a civic engagement approach to positive youth development."
