Book Review: 'Extending the Reach of Youth Development Through Civic Activism: Research Results from the Youth Leadership for Development Initiative' by Lewis-Charp, Yu, Soukamneuth, and Lacoe
Reviewed by John de Miranda, Ed.M. - Reviewer
The Prevention Researcher,
Volume 12, Number 5, 2005, Pages 20-21
The reviewer, John de Miranda, felt that one of the shortcomings of this manual and study, was the failure to include youth with disabilities as a marginalized population. Despite this, he felt it sheds "important light on the topic of, and benefits from, a civic engagement approach to positive youth development."
