Abstract:
Growing out of a symposium of experts on teen pregnancy, positive youth development, and Latino cultures and experiences, First Talk explores teen pregnancy among Latinos. The reviewer, Faedra Lazar Weiss, notes that as a researcher she would often consider a book which is 5 years old to be almost "too old." However, she feels this book is an important resource for anyone interested in sexuality education, delaying pregnancy until after the teen years, or providing culturally competent, positive youth development programming.
