Adolescents have high rates of both suicide and non-suicidal self-injury. While self-injury is not a suicide attempt (and vice versa), the behaviors have a complex relationship: they share some of the same risk factors and many youth who have a history of repetitive self-injury will at some point attempt suicide. At the same time, many people who work with youth have difficulty distinguishing between the two.

This bundle consists of three issues of The Prevention Researcher. These issues include information specifically about suicide and self-injury, as well as information about the complex relationship between the two. Hopefully, by understanding the differences as well as similarities between self-injury and suicide, those who work with youth will be better able to provide prevention and intervention, as well as support youth and their families through these difficult times.

Receive all three issues for the price of two! Save 33% by purchasing these issues as a bundle.

This bundle contains:
Adolescent Self-Injury
Teen Suicide Prevention
Adolescent Stress, Depression, and Suicide: Resource Issue 2006
