Frequently Asked Questions
-
Editorial
Is the journal peer reviewed?
Our articles are based on peer-reviewed research articles, often written by the same researchers you will find in the peer reviewed journals. Additionally, each issue of our journal is reviewed by members of our Editorial and Advisory Boards, which consist of researchers and professionals who work directly with youth. However, articles for The Prevention Researcher do not go under the same rigorous review of those you would find in academic journals.
Do you accept article submissions?
Since each issue of The Prevention Researcher focuses on a specific topic, and since articles are chosen for each issue that work together to provide a balanced examination of the topic, it has been our experience that unsolicited manuscripts are unlikely to fit into the mix. We encourage researchers and authors who are interested in writing for The Prevention Researcher to submit samples of their previously published work and a brief outline of their article idea to editors@TPRonline.org . Alternatively, we maintain an email list of people interested in writing for The Prevention Researcher and periodically send out “calls for abstracts”. If you would like to be added to this list please email editors@TPRonline.org.
How can I get permission to reprint or post an article?
At times, we do allow other publications, websites, or groups to use information printed in The Prevention Researcher. Typically, we require a small fee for this service. Please contact us at permissions@TPRonline.org if you are interested in using materials from our journal.
Do you accept advertisements?
