Editor's Note: Don't miss our more recent issue, Adolescent Eating Disorders & Body Dissatisfaction, printed in 2007.

Eating disorders are a difficult area of addictive behaviors for prevention as everyone must eat to stay alive. Ideally, as for most addictions, primary prevention needs to be carried out to prevent the problem from occurring in the first place. With eating disorders this is not always possible as there are many underlying reasons for these addictive behaviors. Volume 4(3) of The Prevention Researcher focuses on anorexia and bulimia among youth.
