Studies have found that half of all adult sex offenders begin their sexually abusive behavior before adulthood. Additionally up to 50% of all child molestations may be committed by those under 18 years of age.
The Prevention Researcher takes an innovative look at the prevention of adolescent sexual offending. While most other publications address sex offending after it has already occurred, we are presenting the most recent information regarding prevention. It is our hope that this issue of The Prevention Researcher will start a national dialogue on this topic.
