Families are critical in the lives of youth of any age. Stressors and problems that parents experience undoubtedly become stressors and problems for their teenaged children. At the same time, when youth experience problems their parents and families are resources for support. This supplemental issue of The Prevention Researcher focuses on supporting families in times of need so they can support youth.
Articles in this issue focus on the effects parental methamphetamine abuse on young adolescents; supporting the caregivers of youth with incarcerated parents; supporting youth in military families during times of deployment; and supporting grandparents who are raising grandchildren. It is rounded out with book and web site reviews.
